Paper Village Print Project

We are running a big print project in the Autumn with lots of shop windows signed up to create a street wide gallery !!

This is not absolutely free fun but most workshops only cost £6 !!!

The theme is all about familiar territories

Programme of workshops (Adults from the age 16 -109 ) All workshops are £6 apart from those marked with a STAR AND THOSE ARE £12

Print your dinner you lunch your tea – fabric printing using fruit and vegetables
Saturday 3rd Sept 2-4.30pm
Taking a walk through print – armed with Sculpey clay, fabric crayons,and plasticine we will record a walk round the docks in texture – later to be printed in workshop 3
Sunday 4th Sept1.30-4.30
Printing from the resources collected in session 2
Sunday 11th Sept1.30-4.30pm
Still life exploration – drawing household objects using wire, pipe cleaners, string etc to make print blocks
Thursday 8th Sep 7.30 -9.30pm
Embroidery hoop solar screen prints – using our gardens or parks as our inspiration
Date TBA with Tutor
Out of the toy cupboard – print session using wind up toys, bouncing balls, toy car tyres, bath toys etc
13th September 2.30-4.30pm
At the zoo – quick-print drawing challenge …direct from life
Sunday 18th Sept 1.30-4.30pm ( You will also need to pay to get into the zoo)
Linocuts part 1 – lino/easycut Date to be agreed
Linocuts part 2 – Flock lino – on the theme of fabrics from my house
Date to be agreed
Whatever the weather – Sun mask printing, rust prints, faded paper techniques and rain
This will be arranged with the people who sign up as it is weather dependant !!
A load of old rubbish – Building collagraphs from rubbish and unwanted items found in the back of drawers
Thursday 15th September 7.30 – 9.30pm
Everything but the kitchen sink. The kitchen will be the focus for collecting items that can be used with heat foam to make print blocks
Tuesday 20th September 2.30 – 4.30pm
Stencils part 1 – Found items used to mask work and make stencilled images – fabric and paper
Sunday 25th Sept 2-4.30pm
Stencils part 2 – Cut stencils
Date to be agreed with tutor
Fill a page or two or three with circles. – Anything and everything from home that can be used to make circle shaped marks
Wednesday 21st September 2.30-4.30pm
Printing objects by wrapping them – record a room or an area
Date to be agreed

The dates are still to be agreed dependant on numbers interested. Fees at the moment for this programme per 2-3 hour session are £12 Fo those taught by an external tutor or £6 for all others . Places are limited ( You can book and pay for the whole programme in advance and get a further £10% discount)

If we get any further funding for the programme then we will also offer 8 drop-in sessions at a fee of £6 per session
